Former Florida governor, and younger brother of G.W Bush has officially tossed his tophat and cane into the 2016 GOP dance. This was, of course, no surprise. He’s been running a well managed “non-campaign-campaign,” since the end of 2015.
The dynasty question is the big issue. Will his family record of Presidencies work for or against him. If he should happen to win the White House, the procession of all US Presidents since 1999 will read as follows:
Whether this works for or against him depends really on one single factor: How does the public feel about the Presidency of his brother, George W. Bush? For those who think that W. did a bang-up job and that the financial crisis and the debacle in Iraq are the to be blamed on Obama, they might just be very excited at the chance to put Bush III in office.
For the rest of us — not so much.
